Larry Page: Technology Pioneer and Artificial Intelligence Visionary

Larry Page (born in Michigan in 1973) is one of the most influential entrepreneurs and computer scientists of the digital age, co-founder of Google with Sergey Brin and first CEO of Alphabet Inc.

His vision of massive data processing not only revolutionized the way humanity accesses universal knowledge, but also positioned Google as the most powerful artificial intelligence laboratory in the world.

From Stanford and PageRank to the creation of Google

The son of computer science professors, Page completed his doctorate at Stanford University, where in 1996 he devised the PageRank algorithm, which ranked web pages by analyzing incoming links as votes of confidence. In 1998 he founded Google, transforming a university project into the leading Internet company.

The pioneering commitment to Artificial Intelligence

Page was one of the first technologists to understand that the future of search engines depended on deep machine learning. He supported the creation of Google Brain in 2011 and led the historic acquisition of DeepMind in 2014 for more than $500 million.

This acquisition allowed the birth of AlphaGo, AlphaFold and the current Gemini family of multimodal models, cementing Google’s leadership over the rest of the technology giants.

Alphabet and the “Moonshots” projects

As CEO of Alphabet beginning in 2015, Page oversaw AI-driven moonshots such as Waymo’s self-driving cars, Calico’s biotechnology and longevity research, and Verily’s predictive healthcare, leaving an undisputed legacy in modern computing.
