Mobile applications have been a revolution in the business world. They are allowing great expansion at all levels. However, what type of application, among all the existing ones, should a company use? What are the pros and cons of using each of them?
Web Apps
This is the first major type of mobile application that we can find. These types of apps are programmed directly thinking about running within a web browser. Their peculiarity is that they have the ability to adapt to the format of the mobile device and its technology. Not in vain, they are not available for download on any of the well-known platforms such as Play Store or Apple Store.
Corporate mobile applications
Within the “web apps” we can highlight above the rest those that are intended exclusively to offer static information to the user. This information may be corporate or contain data that may be useful to the user. Such as, for example, a guide for installing software. Companies that dedicate part or all of their activity to e-commerce have dynamic web apps, where the user can purchase products, in addition to receiving information.
Native applications
We can say that these mobile applications are those that are designed for a specific type of operating system. They are programmed in the language of said operating system. Unlike “web apps”, these can be downloaded on existing platforms. And, in addition, they offer a better user experience because they take advantage of the full potential of the mobile device.
Apps to attract customers
Entrepreneurs seek to make clients with different marketing strategies. Therefore, within native applications, those that have a marked commercial nature are the most common since they try to simplify the user experience so that they end up purchasing a product or service. Valid examples could be applications from car dealerships, those belonging to travel agencies or those that are integrated into a chain of clothing stores.
Applications that integrate functionalities
However, entrepreneurs should keep in mind that the user will not use an application if they do not get something in return. For example, in sectors such as health or beauty, applications are developed that plan a diet, an exercise routine or a type of makeup for a certain event.
This is the current reality. However, we have to be aware that mobile applications are going to be more linked to our company every day. Hence the need to reserve a budget item to invest in them. On the Internet there are hundreds of thousands of potential clients, inside and outside our borders, who we have at our disposal every day and who can provide us with a good position within our sector.
