In these last two months, there have been a multitude of events organized and carried out by the Digital Content Pole of Malaga, in which the creativity, talent and innovation of startups are promoted.
The Inventors Day: Digital Media & Indie Games, which took place on Friday, February 22, had the objective of facilitating the search for investment and financing for 21 new entrepreneurial projects belonging to the fifth edition of the Go2Work Málaga program, developed by the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) and Promálaga.
The Inventors Day was divided into two blocks: a first part related to digital content and media projects and another related to the video game sector. The day began with the presentation of projects such as La Diversiva, a multi-leisure guide for the whole family that includes activities to do with children in Malaga capital and province. Next, keynote talks took place from professionals such as Álvaro García Copé from Freepik, Macarena González Mira from Crazy4Media and Luis Oliván from Fictiorama Studios. The event ended with a networking session, where it was possible to learn more about the protagonists and entrepreneurs of the projects.
With the aim of bringing unique job opportunities to 700 Malaga students from 14 educational centers, the Digital Job Day was held on Thursday, March 14. HRCS, an important company specialized in human resources and IT selection, was the organizer and responsible for putting young people in contact with almost thirty companies in the digital and technological content sector.
Throughout the Digital Job Day, students were able to attend development talks from important companies in the audiovisual and marketing sector such as Cashconverters, Bravent, Windup School, Happynet Cinema or Desmonkey. At the same time, in the facilities of the Digital Content Pole, professional guidance workshops were organized on how to make an online resume, profiles on social networks and positions in each company to create a network of contacts aimed at the employability of young people once they graduate.
Finally, it is worth adding the celebration of the fifth edition of the Demo Day on Friday, March 22, organized by the Go2Work Coworking, promoted as previously mentioned by the School of Industrial Organization (EOI).
The event started with the inauguration of the event by Go2work’s resident mentor, Rodolfo Tiessler. After this, the consultant and expert in communication and advertising, Roc Massaguer, was received, who gave an interesting presentation on the debate of whether working with influencers was profitable for a company. Afterwards, the workshop “Better is possible” took place with its protagonists: Práxedes Nieto and Víctor Carretero, whose performance brought more than one laugh from the entire audience. Next, a round table was organized in which projects had to be presented in a gamified way to the public. At the end, the results of the gamification and the raffle were published in which you participated if you carried out a number of activities throughout the day. The day concluded with a networking session to create new professional contacts while enjoying a good atmosphere and snacks.
