Yesterday Comunicagenia attended the event ´Towards Financing your company´, organized by the IMunicipal Institute for Training and Employment (IMFE), which on this occasion chose the Municipal Heritage Museum (MUPAM) to celebrate this activity.

Many topics related to the company, business, market studies and marketing plans were discussed on this day. However, attendees had the pleasure of learning the key objective of the activity: what is the ideal way to finance your company. A question that reached the ears of those present, drawing their attention.

Whether you have the idea of starting a successful business career by setting up a technological start-up or perhaps with a business in a more traditional sector, linked to tourism or local commerce, everyone who attended the event took good note of all the advice and warnings that the representatives of the different banking entities (Caixa bank, Banco Sabadell, Banco Unicaja,) did to them.

Knowing that starting a business is not as easy as it seems, therefore, experts taught entrepreneurs that it is essential to make a good and safe plan or market study. Furthermore, behind the project, it is absolutely necessary to have good financing if you do not have your own financial resources or you do not have a capitalist partner to endorse and support the business model. And it is at this point where banking entities come into play.

Miguel Ángel Ortega Montes, director of digitalization at Banco Sabadell in Malaga, asked by way of introduction in his presentation: “What does a market study require?”. With these words he made the attendees understand where this event was focused. Later, Juan Francisco García Aranda, risk and business analyst at Banco Unicaja, asked the following question, questioning something that someone recent in the business world should discuss if you want to take firm steps towards success: “What should a business plan include?”.

During the almost three hours that the day lasted, many questions arose about the company’s financing. Issues that ranged from knowing whether investing in a physical business or establishment is profitable in the medium and long term, or if you should directly focus on the company’s digitalization process and go after the digital customer, to whether depending on external financing is better than looking for a partner in business.

Throughout the day many of these doubts were resolved. The finishing touch came from the representative of Caixa Bank’s ‘Dayone’ service department, Rafael Barrera Pagés, who stated that in his department focuses on providing help to technology companies and potential investors.

Without a doubt it was a very productive session in which surely more than one of you will already see much easier and more clearly the path to follow to carry out your dream of setting up a prosperous business.
