On the other hand, Microsoft Azure AI Foundry incorporates advanced versions of Grok (Grok 3 and Grok 3 mini) aimed at corporate clients that require large-scale processing and regulatory compliance. This offer underlines xAI’s intention to position itself in both the consumer and B2B sectors.
Synergies with X (formerly Twitter)
Following the $33 billion acquisition of X, xAI leverages massive amounts of public data to train its models. The integration of Grok into Telegram serves, to a large extent, to diversify sources of interaction and improve response capacity in more closed and private environments.

One of the big unknowns of this agreement revolves around data processing. Reuters warns that this alliance “will significantly improve xAI’s access to user data, key to training and refining its models.”
Neither xAI nor Telegram have publicly clarified whether user messages or interactions will be used to retrain Grok.
Meanwhile, Telegram’s strict privacy policy (with end-to-end encryption on certain chats and advanced message self-destruct options) offers some level of assurance, although Grok’s export of metadata and queries remains under scrutiny.

Grok’s arrival on Telegram could accelerate the mass adoption of AI assistants in the messaging space.
By offering free access to powerful features, xAI and Telegram propose a dual business model: on the one hand, monetization via subscription; on the other, the acquisition of a massive volume of active users to strengthen its market position.
